Being a single mom to a 3 year old is hard. There is so many late nights that I've cried cause I didnt know what to do. I've broken down in front of my own screaming child for her to calm down and hug me, which made me sob more. Moms have so much pressure on them now, she doesn't eat enough I look bad, she doesn't like to sleep so it must be something I'm doing wrong. I really needed to hear this from yall today. Momming is hard and most people rather tear you down than build you up. Love you ladies :) thank you

I have laughed rather than cried. I have broken down in tears in front of my children (something I swore I would never do). I've offered help, I've occasionally accepted help. I'm imperfect and I love my children more than I can possibly express. Complete non-sequiter, my father once was walking near a couple of kids acting out and giving their mom a rough time and it was blatantly obvious that she was about to lose her shit. My dad just leaned into the kids and whispered "hey, knock it off and give your mom a break." The kids were stunned that a stranger stuck up for their mom and immediately chilled and the mom looked so relieved I thought she might kiss my dad. Doesn't matter who throws us the lifeline in the end, as long as we don't down.

I definitely have some moms in my life who need to hear this... maybe some dads too, who need to realize that those moms need some time for themselves!
