Love you ladies for being so open about this topic! More vagina podcasts! You mentioned pads and tampons and while I love that there's products for everyone, I want to say that menstrual cups changed my life and my entire relationship with my period and my vagina. So if pads or tampons don't work for you (the general you of anyone reading the comments) keep looking. There ARE other options!!!!

I too had a mom who wouldn't let me use a tampon even though I had very flows because she believed I would lose my virginity. Had to go away to college . . .

There was so much fucking truth in this. I grew up similarly to Kim and it made stuff so freaking hard to me. I'm still not 100% comfortable. Thank you guys so much, honestly.

I was lucky that I had two older sisters and also family that talked opening about it. I was 9 when I got my period and have always had extremely bad pains to the point I would vomit sometimes, it often lasts for 5-7 days. Pain kills take a long time to work and have so i often play down my pain so I’m not annoying people or be told it’s not that bad . I hadn’t use a tampon till this year and it’s much such a different for the daytime. So happy that you two are out here talking about PERIODS.

I wish you two had been my health teachers when we were learning about this in school. I have always been a very shy person, especially when it comes to stuff like this, and yet my mother thought it would be good to go to school and check out all the awkward health videos so she could make me watch them again at home with her. Not cool! Honestly, I think that made me learn less and be even more shy to tall about it, or ask questions.
