How does one talk to ones self in a healthy way?
How does one take that powerful inner voice and gently encourage it to use the ol' "If you dont have anything nice to say SHUT THE FUCK UP" saying.
In this episode, Kim and Briana once again prove they don't have all the answers, but they do have a lot of suggestions :)

I relate to this hard! I am working on making my self-talk nicer and kinder with the help of Therapy that I recently went back into. Thank you for speaking on this subject. I am sure everyone struggles with aspects of this.

My loudest voice is the imposter syndrome voice---you're not good enough, everyone thinks you're an idiot and don't belong here, what I'm saying is boring and they all want me to shut up, etc. When people give me positive feedback, I'm trying to remember to be grateful and acknowledge their message, but it's a struggle against the minimizing voice---it's nothing, it's no big deal, etc. I read once that, to help combat others' minimizer voices, phrase your compliments as "I" statements---"I think you look amazing"; "I think you are a great friend," which the other person can hear as an offer of support than an obligatory blip.
